Specialist services at sensible prices - The King's Cross Eye Clinic

I recently met the owner of the King's Cross Eye Clinic - at Gran Sasso - naturally.  His attractive new shop is located at 280 Pentonville Road between York Way and Caledonian Road and it's really the kind of place every community needs as it sepecializes in eyecare...and more. 

I've lifed the following from their website, it's the best description of the services that they provide:

In addition there are several other services on offer: Physio Medicine - Physiotherapy clinic with sports massage, acupuncture and specialist services. Sessional clinics: Clinical Psychologist, Dietician, Audiologist, Podiatrist, Speech Therapist.

I'm afraid they are far too expensive for me... even with a £50 off voucher. More affordable, if not quite so local, is Specsavers in the Brunswick Centre near Waitrose....

I went to Specsavers at the Brunswick Centre and had to wait an hour for my 10 minute eye test, and was treated like a piece of meat. No personal rapport at all.

The Kings Cross Eye Clinic provided the most thorough and informative sight test I've ever had, including some fascinating photos of the back of the eye!

There were loads of frames and different types of lenses and were very reasonable in price, very similar to Specsavers...but seemed better quality.

All in all fantastic, not treated like a piece of meat at in the slightest.

You can not beat a good imformative eyetest. the optometrist in the high street can be like a conveyor belt. taking the time to explain the health is so important. No matter the cost, if peace of mind is achieved i would recommend everyone should use a good service.
